Community Outreach

Kids' HOPE Center

Kids’ HOPE Center investigates abuse allegations from communities throughout Coos County and beyond. Following the “medical model” of abuse investigations, Kids’ HOPE focuses primarily on meeting the whole health physical and emotional needs of victims.

Most of their clients are under the age of 12. Most are between the ages of 5 and 12, but they also have a need for quilts sized for infants and toddlers.

April is a big fundraising month for the Kids’ HOPE Project, and they hold a benefit auction. They welcome donations of items for auction, including household and decorative items like table runners, throw pillows, etc.

Quilts For Giving

The guild donates quilts to South Coast Hospice. These quilts mean the world to patients in hospice care, and often become treasured family items after the patient passes.

Some of our members meet to sew Quilts for Giving every week at Joan Glasgow’s house, Mondays and Wednesdays from 10AM to 2PM.
